Raising Rabbits

Raising rabbits can be a fun, relaxing, and fulfilling hobby. Not only are rabbits smart and trainable, but they can also make great pets or be raised for their meat, fur, or show.

However, like any animal, rabbits require proper care and attention to ensure their health and well-being. Here are some basic rules to follow when raising rabbits:

  • House rabbits off the ground and protect them from all predators.
  • Provide high-quality pellet feed and limited nutritional snacks, as well as water and hay at all times.
  • Give rabbits safe toys and wood blocks to chew on.
  • Do not put males and females in the same cage after 12 weeks old, and always take the female to the male's cage when breeding.
